Dr Mona Bias
Desiring to be a medical doctor in remote areas of the Philippines, Mona pursued B.S. Biology in college. After graduation however, she took some classes at ISOT-Asia (a seminary and ministry of Cru International) where she realized that the Lord was calling her to full time Christian service. Right then, she decided to pursue the Master of Divinity. Years later, she earned the Master of Sacred Theology degree, and eventually the Doctor of Philosophy in Old Testament at Dallas Theological Seminary in the U.S.A.
Mona has been a missionary with Cru-Philippines for many years. In 2023, she joined the faculty of EAST. Before that, she served at ISOT-Asia (a sister school of EAST), where she taught mainly the Biblical Hebrew courses and served in various capacities, including being the Academic Dean. On the sides, she taught Old Testament courses in Nepal, Sri-Lanka, and India. She had also written various articles and essays on issues relevant to Asia. And in 2024, her work, Job: A Pastoral and Contextual Commentary was published by Langham Global Library in partnership with Asia Theological Association.
